Rev. Fr. Rogers Birijja Atwooki who was ordained on 04.07.1998 (Germany) marked 25 years in priesthood yesterday on 04.07.2023. Rev. Fr. Rogers Biriija Atwooki is a Ugandan Catholic Priest incardinated in the Diocese of Hoima, currently sharing his gift of Faith and the Joy of the Gospel with others in Germany.
Out of God’s boundless Mercy he is among the team of seven priests who’ll celebrate 25 years of lovely service in the Priesthood, the include Fr. Barugahara Paul, Fr. Byenkya Innocent, Fr. Kaahwa George William, Fr. Kasaija Patrick, Fr. Kyalimpa Stephen and Fr.Barugahara Peter.
Rev. Fr. George William Kaahwa, the Parish Priest of Nyantonzi Catholic Church Kyenjejo district led the mass at the 25th anniversary of Rev. Fr. Rogers Birijja Atwooki in priesthood.Where he called upon Christians to fully accept their responsibilities if they are to prosper in whatever they are doing.
The celebrations took place at his home Parish particularly at St. Andrea Kaahwa Kooki School’s playground in Kibijo sub county Kakumiro district on Tuesday.
Rev. Fr. William hailed Fr. Birijja for the prodigious work he has done in 25 years in priesthood asserting that he has transformed Kooki Haibaale Catholic Parish by improving Kooki schools.
Joseph Senkusu Ssentayi, the Kakumiro district LCV chairperson pledged to lend more support as far as the developing Kooki schools and the community hospital are concerned asserting that the projects are doing great job in the district.
Hon: Agaba Aisha Black, the Bugangaizi East MP implored parents to invest in educating their children in order to earn them a brighter future.
She however hailed Rev. Fr. Birijja for laying a foundation stone especially in the education sector by putting up Kooki schools which has helped in educating Ugandans.
Meanwhile, Rev.Fr Rogers Birijja Atwooki who was celebrating 25 years in priesthood highly applauded the almighty God for the gift of life, his parents for the great support they did by grooming him in Godly manners a thing that has made him achieve more.
About 80 Parish Priests from different parts of the country attended the function.
