The Bishop of Hoima Diocese Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirablo has hailed the people of Hoima diocese living outside the diocese for the love and support to their church.
Bishop Kirabo was speaking at the end of a five day pastoral visit to members of HOIDERA (Hoima External Residents Association) at Nakawa in Kampala. The Bishop led mass for hundreds of HOIDERA members on Sunday 19th March 2017 to cap a week of activities that saw him visit several homes, religious congregations, students, leaders from Bunyoro region among others.
Bishop Kirabo speaking at the luncheon he hosted after the Sunday mass said he was overwhelmed with the love and support members of HOIDERA exhibited towards their mother diocese Hoima.
He especially thanked members for their efforts to raise funds to support the diocese preparations to lead the Namugongo Martyrs celebrations for 2017.
The President of HOIDERA, Tadeo Atuhuura thanked the Bishop for the pastoral visit and pledged HOIDERA’s continued commitment and support to activities of Hoima diocese.
The Bishop appealed to members of HOIDERA and other people who love the Uganda martyrs to support the Diocese in organizing the 3rd June 2017 celebrations through contributions in cash, in kind and committing time and expertise to ensure a good ceremony befitting of the Uganda Martyrs.
